Lens Implants
Are lens implants right for you?
Multifocal Lens Implants are designed for any person who is now experiencing presbyopia, nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism and is not satisfied with corrective lenses as a solution. Multifocal Lens Implants are also designed for those with cataracts and want to avoid cataract surgery, corneal problems, or dry eye. The procedure is essentially similar to that of cataract surgery and is done on an outpatient basis at our facility.
The benefits to your vision are much greater than you would receive with a standard single-lens implant. With a standard lens implant (single focus) a person can only see clearly at a fixed distance (close up or far away). With a multifocal IOL implant, your vision will improve in a range of distances without eyeglasses.
Multifocal Lens Implant Options
- TECNIS Symfony – This lens is the latest to correct distance, near, and everything in between. It is an increased depth of focus lens. Previous multifocals would split the light into distinct focal points.
- TECNIS Multifocal – This lens is the latest multifocal lens. Like other multifocal lenses, it greatly reduces the need for glasses after cataract surgery.
- ASTIGMATISM – The Acrysof Toric IOL makes it possible to reduce or eliminate corneal astigmatism and significantly improve uncorrected distance vision.
- PANOPTIX – Panoptix is a trifocal lens that provides improved near, intermediate and distance vision.
- VIVITY – Vivity is an extended depth of focus lens that provides intermediate and distance vision.
- EYHANCE – This is an enhanced distance monofocal lens that provides some intermediate vision and distance vision.
- SYNERGY LENS – This is a presbyopic correcting lens that provides near, intermediate, and distance vision.
